Causes And Treatment Of Non-bending Fingers?
Night. My name is valen i am 15 years old So a few years ago I fell with a knife. Then the knife stuck into my middle finger. During that incident my finger was bleeding profusely. Then, after that incident my fingers could not be bent anymore. What do you think I can do so that my fingers can be bent again?
Hello Valen Cocowlawya,
Complaints of non-bending fingers may be related to a previous injury history. Your injury can cause tendon damage, muscle damage, nerve damage, or contractures that limit movement.
But apart from a history of injury, stiff fingers can also be affected by other medical conditions such as osteoarthritis, gout disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and insertion of pins. To ascertain the cause, it requires direct examination by a doctor.
Considering the difficult condition of the fingers, the dotekuyk has been going on for several years, I suggest that you check with your doctor in person first. The doctor will perform a physical examination and anamnesis as well as supporting examinations such as x-rays and blood tests if necessary to ascertain the cause of the difficulty of bending the finger. Then the doctor will provide the right treatment for you according to the cause of the symptoms you feel.
If the finger is difficult to bend due to a history of injury, the doctor may recommend physiotherapy to help restore function of the finger. The doctor can also refer you to a medical rehabilitation doctor for further treatment. Medicines will be given if there is another medical condition that causes difficulty moving the finger.
