Hi Rio,
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Phimosis is a condition in which the foreskin of the penis (prepuce) is firmly attached to the head of the penis and is difficult to pull back. This condition usually occurs in children, but does not rule out also occurs in adults who are not circumcised.
As long as it does not cause symptoms, phimosis is actually not dangerous. However, if it persists into adulthood, phimosis can make it difficult for sufferers to urinate. Furthermore, the buildup of residual urine, dead skin cells, and harmful microorganisms in the foreskin of the penis can increase the risk of infection and inflammation in the penis.
Therefore, it is necessary to do proper handling, namely through circumcision (circumcision). During circumcision, the excess foreskin of the penis is cut off so that it is no longer attached to the skin of the penis. This condition can certainly be more effective in overcoming the symptoms of phimosis than the administration of drugs which generally only reduce symptoms, but it does not rule out the possibility of recurrence of phimosis in the future.
If you experience symptoms of phimosis, consult a surgeon immediately for further treatment. In the meantime, always keep your penis clean by cleaning it every shower and after urinating. Avoid pulling the foreskin of the penis (up or down) excessively because it can cause sores and pain.
Hope it helps ya..
