Causes And Ways To Deal With Bedwetting In Teens?
, I am 16 years old and I often experience noctural enuresis from childhood, I thought it would disappear by itself, because I have done various ways such as limiting drinks in and always urinating before going to sleep but sometimes still experiencing it, why yes or my bladder is small or other than that when I was 12 years old my peers knew about this, until sometimes I was afraid that no one would want to be my friend, I felt I was not perfect and had thought if I was born, and the second question was whether I got mentally illness?
Hello Anisa, thank you for asking.
Nocturnal enuresis is normal urinary discharge that occurs at the wrong time and place, in this case during sleepless nights. A child begins to be said to have enuresis when he is 5 years old but still cannot control his urinary expenditure. The diagnosis of enuresis in children aged 5-6 years is made when there are 2 or more episodes in 1 month. In children over 6 years, the diagnosis is upright if 1 or more episodes occur in 1 month.
Enuresis can be caused by:
Impaired nerve function in the bladder.
Imbalance of vasopressin hormone levels are not good.
Have you tried consulting a psychiatrist or psychologist? If not, invite your parents to consult with experts. You may have to undergo an interview and psychological test first. The psychiatrist will look for whether the enuresis problem is caused by psychological disorders or not. If so, then a psychiatrist can teach techniques to treat enuresis. If necessary, therapy can be helped with medication. You do not need to be discouraged first, because if you have found the right action, then most likely enuresis will be overcome.
Hopefully this explanation is quite helpful. Regards.
