Causes And Ways To Deal With Itching And Turning Into Scales On The Skin?
Greetings, I experienced a disruption in the skin of my hands and feet, a wound suddenly appeared on the skin of my feet and hands. I felt itching on the wound, but I didn’t feel pain. Then after all this time the wound turned into scales on the skin of my feet. I have tried going to the doctor and then only given the ointment, “Methylprednisoslon” and “Loratadine” but until now it has not healed. Please explain and how to treat it
Hello Akhmad, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
Some of the causes of complaints that you experience among others:
Hives / urticaria
Insect or mite bites (scabies)
Other infections of the skin
Additional information is needed about the complaint you are experiencing, how long has it been for you, does it have a history of allergies, have you changed or used cosmetics, new soaps or lotions? Are there other complaints like the skin looks dry or becomes thicker?
To determine the exact cause of your complaint, the doctor needs more complete information, a direct physical examination, blood tests, allergy checks, or other relevant tests are needed. You should consult with a dermatologist to get the best treatment and medication. The drugs given (methylprednisolone and loratadine) are drugs to reduce inflammation and also medications for allergies that can help to reduce itching. If it is not effective with this treatment, then your doctor can change or increase the dosage of existing medication.
Some things you can do are:
Drink enough water about 2 liters every day and get enough rest
Use clothes that are loose, thin and absorb sweat
Avoid scratching the itchy area because it can cause irritation or infection
Avoid using soaps / shampoos that contain harsh chemicals
Find your trigger or allergy if there is one
Use a moisturizer on dry skin
Keep the house and yourself clean
Avoid stress or excessive thoughts
Hopefully this information can be useful for you.
