Causes Blood From The Nose And Mouth When The Weather Is Hot?
I get a lot of nosebleeds lately. And when the blood comes out of my right nose, blood mucus also comes out of my mouth. I’ve experienced this during hot temperatures lately. Is a danger
Hello Yohanita Tika,
Nosebleeds or epistaxis is bleeding in the nasal cavity. Symptoms of epistaxis are:
Blood comes out from the nostrils
Blood feels to flow behind the mouth, can be mixed with saliva or swallowed
Nosebleeds can arise from the following factors:
Picking the nose
Get rid of snot too tight
Foreign body in the nose
Trauma to the nasal bones
Blood clotting disorders
Tumors or cancers of the nasal cavity and its surroundings
Nosebleeds can occur during hot weather due to dilation of blood vessels in the nose, which in certain cases if the blood vessels are fragile then bleeding can occur. Especially if there are other risk factors such as scraping the nose or dry nose lining. Nosebleeds that occur occasionally do not need to worry, but if it often occurs> 1 time per week should be seen by a doctor. The doctor needs to evaluate whether there are abnormalities in the nasal cavity and surrounding areas that can cause nosebleeds.
Most nosebleeds can stop spontaneously. Treatment that you can do when you have a nosebleed is:
Sit up straight with your head slightly forward. Avoid looking up or lying down so that blood from the nose does not flow behind the mouth
Squeeze your nostrils and breathe out of your mouth for about 10-15 minutes
Compress the base of the nose with a cold compress
Avoid picking your nose for 24 hours after a nosebleed
If the nosebleeds do not stop after> 20 minutes, more blood comes out, complaints of weakness, difficulty breathing, there is a history of head trauma accompanying nosebleeds, you should immediately see a doctor. Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
