Causes Fall Suddenly And Unconsciously?

Good morning, I want to ask about what happened to my mother. My mother was 54 years old, last night my mother fell while standing, and was unconscious until he was taken to the hospital, he did not even remember that he had just fallen. Mouth of the upper and lower wounds as well as the tongue (possibly the position of falling forward) besides that there are no injuries on other body parts including the head. Then when sitting on the patient’s bed, he fell again (sideways) but he did not realize that he fell. No complaints of dizziness, nausea or other. After an x-ray of the head, head and nerves is normal and there are no signs of abnormality. What do you think the symptoms of the disease are?

Some conditions that can be related to sudden falls without being realized, namely:
1. Fainting is a temporary unconscious condition that occurs suddenly. Fainting occurs due to a sudden drop in blood pressure, which decreases blood flow to the brain, but the body fails to compensate for the immediate adjustment.
2. Narcolepsy is a sleepy attack followed by falling asleep regardless of time and place. Caused by neurological disorders that regulate sleep due to changes in sleep patterns, stress, depression and certain diseases (such as brain bleeding, diabetes, etc.).
3. Seizures are disorders of the central nervous system due to uncontrolled conductance of electrical impulses. Forms of seizures can vary, ranging from bumps in the whole body or certain body parts without or with accompanied by a decrease in awareness, blank stares, twitching of muscles and until the muscle loses strength. Seizures are characterized by a sudden loss of muscle strength so that sufferers fall and are unaware of the event, called atonic seizures.
We suggest that your mother should control again with the neurologist in charge. In order to do further checks to find out the cause, such as EEG examination.
Meanwhile, don't let your mother be in a dangerous place, such as the second floor, stairs, around the pool, etc. Because these conditions can reappear suddenly. You should also not let your mother walk from one room of the house to another room alone, especially the bathroom.
Thus hopefully useful.
