Does it have anything to do with serious illness?rnThank you

1 Answer:

Good morning Metta, thanks for your question.

How many times have you experienced complaints like the ones above?

Menstruation is a natural cycle that occurs in a woman's body. Menstruation occurs due to the shedding of the lining of the uterus and the egg which then flows out of the body and mixes with the blood. Where this cycle will generally appear every 4 weeks (28 days) from the first day of menstruation until the first day of the next menstruation. Each person's menstrual period is different - different from the normal range of 21-35 days.

The irregular menstrual cycle generally occurs due to hormonal balance disorders, which can be caused by several conditions, including:

·       In the first 3-5 years after the first menstruation

·       Patients with eating disorders (such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia)

·       Overweight or body mass index (BMI) > 30

·      Malnutrition (lack of nutrition)

·      Psychological stress

·       Athletes

·      Vitamin K deficiency

·       The use of certain drugs

·      Blood clotting disorders

·      Thyroid hormone disorders

·      Ovarian cyst disease

Some menstrual disorders are:

-     Metrorrhagia where bleeding occurs between 2 menstrual cycles

-     Menorrhagia is excessive blood volume during menstruation

-      Polymenorrhea is menstruation that is earlier than it should be

-     Amenorrhea where there is cessation of menstruation

-      Dysmenorrhea i.e. pain during menstruation

-        Oligomenorrhea  is menstruation that is longer than 35 days.

Based on what you have said, the condition you are experiencing is called metrorrhagia. Metrorrhagia is a condition where there is bleeding between menstrual cycles. At a young age this condition is generally caused by hormonal balance disorders due to obesity, psychological stress, the use of certain drugs or excessive physical activity. In addition to the above conditions can also be caused by other causes, including:

·       Just removed the new injectable KB using the KB pill

·       Endometriosis

·      Myoma uterus

·      Uterine polyps

·       Inflammation of the ovaries

·      Malignancy

To be able to determine whether the complaint you are experiencing is indeed metrorrhagia or not, and what is the cause, I suggest you to consult a doctor or an obstetrician, because we cannot conclude your mother's disease without an examination. The doctor who will examine you will definitely ask for your complaints and perform a physical examination or even an ultrasound examination and even a pap smear if needed.

You don't need to panic, just stay calm. You still have to maintain your lifestyle by:

1.    Improve your diet by eating regularly 3 times per day according to your calorie needs. 2.    Eat – foods that are nutritious and rich in fiber. 3.  Start to get used to drinking lots of water at least 2 L/day 4.     Adequate rest 5.    Manage your stress wisely 6.     Regular  exercise                 7.                      7.        7.        7.         6.  on a regular basis

May be useful,
