Causes Of Convex Baby Crown?
, my child is only 6 months old. Three days ago he had a fever, vomited vomit and a lot of dirt came out of his eyes. Then what makes me strange is that the crown is swollen somewhat hard with a convex shape. And the heat does not go down even though I have given the medicine to heat down. Then the heat is only the shoulder to the head only, for the body and cold feet. Is this dangerous? Please explain. R nThank you
Hello Rina, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
There are several indications that a baby over 3 months old who has a fever should be immediately taken to the doctor, here are some of them:
Fever is very high to more than 39 degrees Celsius
Fever more than 24 hours which does not improve with the administration of fever medication
The baby has a seizure
Babies experience decreased consciousness (sleep continues, fall asleep despite being given a stimulus, more inactive than usual despite a reduced fever)
There are other neurological symptoms (for example, one limb becomes dormant)
Some other indications include: the baby cannot drink, the baby experiences severe vomiting, there are signs of dehydration, the baby's crown is very concave or the convex baby's fontanel
Fever accompanied by convex crown can indicate an infection of the brain (encephalitis) or infection of the lining of the brain (meningitis) in infants. Your baby must get an immediate check-up and management. Brain infections and the lining of the brain in infants can cause complications in the form of brain damage that can be permanent / permanent effects if not handled properly. Therefore you should IMMEDIATELY bring your baby to the hospital and do not delay.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
