Causes Of Ear Pain And Discharge?
Good night, yesterday I had ear pain, discharge and pain then I did a doctor’s examination. There my ears were cleaned. I was given drops to use for 3 days. Afterwards my ears gradually improved and the pain was gone. However, my ears still cannot hear properly, because there is a lot of filth. Should I go back to the doctor to clean up the stool or just let it be okay? Then yesterday the doctor said that if I had some kind of meat growing in my ears (the doctor called granulation) so that it covered my ears a little, resulting in decreased hearing. Is this granulation dangerous for the health of my ears or not? Thank you
Hello Tri, thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Let me introduce myself, Dr. Rio will try to answer your question.
Complaints of ear pain and discharge can occur in several conditions such as:
Circumskripta otitis externa. Chronic suppurative otitits These two diseases cause almost similar complaints, however, the location of the infection is different. Pda CSOM / chronic suppurative otitis media infections occur due to complications of acute otitis media / OMA. Whereas in OE / Otitis Eksterna Sirkumskripta formed boils / boils in the outer ear canal.
Respond to the story you tell about the formation of granulation networks. Granulation tissue is a new network formed due to a previous injury. This tissue can grow in any part of the body depending on the injury. If your hearing is decreased due to the closure of your ear canal due to the presence of these tissues you should consult yourself again to the ENT specialist for further management. Surgical procedures can be performed to correct this if needed.
Right now what you can do is:
Do not pry ears too often, ideally 2 times a month is good. Avoid using earphones, headsets, excessively. Get enough rest. Avoid cigarettes and alcohol. Consult yourself back to the ENT doctor That's all the answers I can give, thank you very much :)
