Causes Of Excessive Fear Or Anxiety?
Good afternoon. I’m almost everyday overthinking for everything. Not only that, my mood often becomes bad, especially when I feel tired. I became grumpy, did not want to talk to anyone, even I spent a lot of my time in the room. And yesterday when I was open together with my classmates, I thought of joining because I thought it was a no-no, like what if later I was alone there was no one to ask to talk? What if later they look at me cynically? But finally I decided to join because it was the last event with classmates before actually separating. And when bukber, everything went smoothly. What I thought did not happen. Then because I had graduated from high school, some documents had to be taken at school. Most of my friends have taken their report cards, while I haven’t. Even to come to school to take report cards I have to think many times. Want to ask a friend who hasn’t picked up a report card or not even dared to, afraid they will say it has been and finally it’s just me who hasn’t. What I think is because my friends have taken their report cards for a long time, while I haven’t taken them, I’m afraid that if I get scolded by the teacher later, what if I don’t take the report later, what if blah blah blah. I often feel afraid for trivial things, think nonsense for things that should not have to worry about. Will all teenagers experience something like this? Or how? thank you
Hello Irfana, Thank you for the question.
Experiencing fear or anxiety is a natural thing and must have been experienced by anyone such as fear of yourself, anxiety when facing exams or interviews, fear / anxiety when appearing in public, and others. This feeling is a natural feeling. However, if these feelings arise due to unclear, uncontrolled causes, and interfere with daily activities, you may experience a certain medical condition that requires further treatment. The complaint that you submit can be caused by:
paranoid personality disorder
If this complaint is excessive and difficult to control, you should consult with a psychologist or mental specialist / psychiatrist further. The psychologist or psychiatrist will ask further questions about the complaint to better understand how you feel. Further treatment will be given after knowing your condition which can be in the form of psychological therapy and medication. In the meantime, please do the following suggestions:
try to tell your family or closest friends about your thoughts or feelings
do breathing relaxation techniques
follow meditation or yoga to calm the mind
I hope this helps.
