Causes Of Headaches From The Back To The Neck?
Hi, I want to ask. I often have severe headaches, usually because I think excessively (overthinking) and the pain is in the back of the head near the neck, also the upper head, why is this? Because sometimes the pain I can not stand. Thank you 😊
Hi Nia .. Thank you for the question.
Headaches can be caused by several things, including:
Migraine - headache that occurs on only one side of the head, feels like being pricked and throbbing, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light
Tension Type Headache - pain or tension especially on the back of the neck, and is generally triggered by emotional stress
Cluster headache - pain usually occurs in the eye area, accompanied by nasal discharge from the nose according to the affected side
Meningitis / inflammation of the lining of the brain
Headaches rebound due to repeated use of anti-pain medications
Use a helmet or headband that is too tight
If your headaches repeatedly appear, feel very heavy, do not improve with medications, there is fever, seizures, accompanied by numbness in the limbs, then you should immediately consult a neurologist to get a direct examination and if needed can be done further tests such as CT scan, or MRI.
While what you can do include:
