Causes Of High Blood Sugar?
at first my mother was just nauseous and had a dizzy throat and then I took her to Puskismas not long after my mom was short of breath she was finally referred to a private hospital but there my mom was diagnosed with high blood sugar until undetected, but the doctor always asked what complaints and whether there was a family history . Even though Mama was very diligent in sports and never liked to drink sugar water, until now my mother is still being treated from 7 to 22 December. How is that? The doctor here feels strange because it’s not synchronous
Hello Faraghita, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
High blood sugar can be caused by many possibilities. The most common possibility is diabetes (diabetes itself has type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes), but there are also several other possible causes of high blood sugar, for example:
consumption of certain drugs
tumors that secrete certain hormones (for example tumors that produce somatostatin, glucagonoma, pheochromocytoma, tumors that produce growth hormone)
severe infections and other serious illnesses that cause physiological stress to the body
The main symptom that can be found in high blood sugar is excessive thirst accompanied by frequent urination. Other symptoms that can be found are blurred vision, headaches, excessive fatigue, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In your mother's case, a repeat blood sugar test should be done using a different method, if indeed from a number of tests found very high blood sugar, then additional examinations should be done to determine the cause of the high blood sugar. We recommend that you discuss it again with an internist who treats your mother to find out further what checks your mother needs. If indeed your mother does not have diabetes risk factors, it may be that high blood sugar is currently caused by the other causes mentioned above.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
