Inside the buttocks or buttocks are skin, muscles, blood vessels, bones and nerves. Pain in the buttocks area can be caused by a disturbance in one of them or a combination of the four organs. Causes of pain that your father feels can be:
Bursitis. Inflammation of the pads between the tissues. Usually pain is felt when sitting and is accompanied by redness of the buttocks.
Ischialgia. Pain in the nerves in the buttock area, namely the sciatic nerve.
Muscle tension and stiffness is called Piriformis Syndrome. The sciatic nerve runs between the Piriformis muscles so that, when the Piriformis muscle is tight, it will press on the sciatic nerve.
Injury. Injury to the pelvis can cause pain in the buttocks area.
Too heavy a burden. The pelvis is one of the supports for the body to keep it upright. In obese people, their body weight will put more strain on the pelvis. Over time it will cause pain in the buttocks area.
Liming. As we get older the bones experience calcification. Calcification can occur in the hip bones.
Tumor. Certain tumors such as hip bone tumors or metastases from other cancers can attack the hip bones.
Spinal disc aging disease. This disease causes tightness in the spine making it difficult to bend. In some patients there is pain in the buttocks.
Blood vessel disease. The vessels in the hip area that supply the muscles in the buttocks are blocked, resulting in pain in the buttocks area.
