Causes Of Infrequent Urination In Infants Aged 11 Months?
Good morning, I want to ask, my son is now 11 months old. Lately, he rarely pees, sometimes only 2 times, since the weather is very hot. Breast milk and water have been given but still pee only in the morning.. the child is still active and not fussy. thank you
Peeing or urinating, is actually the body's way of regulating body fluids as well as a mechanism for removing toxins from metabolic remnants in the body. The amount of fluid excreted daily through the process of urination, can describe the condition of a person's urinary system. In the case of your child, where he urinates a little, this should be suspected as one of the conditions related to the urinary tract that needs to be watched out for. Regarding hot weather, this can cause the baby to become dehydrated due to sweat that comes out and evaporates, so the body tries to limit the release of fluids by reducing the process of urination. This condition certainly needs to be followed up with adequate fluids so that the child does not get dehydrated. Dehydration in children can appear unexpectedly, maybe the child looks active, but soon it can become weak slowly. We advise you to give him fluids, and if his urination seems to be significantly reduced, it is important that you see a doctor. Here we attach an article about stopping urination. Hope it is useful.
