Causes Of Itchy Spots On Pubic?
I am Rahma 15 yrs. I recently had my period, during my period my groin was itchy. Increasingly, the itching has lessened, but small spots appear around it. Why do you think so?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Menstrual blood that stays too long around the genitals and groin can cause the surrounding area to become moist. This certainly facilitates skin irritation and also makes it easier for disease-causing microorganisms to multiply and cause infection, resulting in itching and abnormal nodules.
It's possible that your complaint was triggered by the following:
Tinea cruris (groin and pubic fungus) Tinea versicolor (phlegm) Cutaneous candidiasis (Candida sp. fungal infection) Miliaria (prickly heat) Impetigo Folliculitis Contact dermatitis Neurodermatitis Pediculosis pubis (pubic lice) Insect bites, etc. Because there are many possible causes, then The treatment that needs to be given can also vary. Therefore, we recommend that you see a doctor directly so that you can determine what the cause and proper management are. If it is due to irritation or infection, the doctor can prescribe several types of drugs, such as anti-itch, antibiotic/antifungal/antiviral, anti-inflammatory. inflammation, or so on.
It's best not to scratch the itchy crotch too much. During menstruation, change your pads at least every 4 hours to minimize the increase in humidity around the groin and genitals. Choose pants and underwear that are soft and not tight. Avoid stress and also avoid consuming foods that can trigger itching, such as seafood, nuts, and eggs.
Hope it helps ya..
