hello, I want to ask, my right ear hurts. Then I followed the directions given by the doctor, such as taking pain relievers and ear drops for me after I followed the doctor’s directions, finally my ears healed but instead my one ear instead felt the same pain as my right ear, what is this the cause? I hope the doctor has a solution by the way the doctor but if there is no solution anymore I inevitably have to go to the ENT. thanks.
Hello, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
Pain in the ear can be caused by several things, including:
- Infection of the ear. Symptoms of infection in the ear include pain in the ear, discharge from the ear, palpable lumps behind the ear, and others. The most common ear infections are otitis externa and otitis media. Usually to deal with this complaint the doctor will give ear drops and pain medications.
-Tinnitus. Conditions where a person subjectively hears a whining noise inside the ear that is not from outside the body. This disorder often arises during earaches due to middle or deep ear infections, but the exact cause of tinnitus is still not clearly known.
- Meniere's disease
- And others
Here are things you can do at home to help deal with complaints: avoid cleaning your ears using cotton buds, avoid listening to music too loudly, placing warm cloths on infected ears, keeping ear areas dry, avoiding cigarettes, and avoiding alcoholic beverages.
If your complaint does not improve, then you should do a re-examination with a doctor. The doctor will then conduct a brief interview, physical examination and additional examinations (supporting examinations) if needed.
