1 Answer:

Hi Ref. Nosebleeds or what is medically called epistaxis, is bleeding that comes out of the nose. Nosebleeds are one of the most common complaints in children. Often these complaints are not life-threatening, but they often worry those closest to them. The majority of nosebleeds are harmless and will get better on their own, but some can happen repeatedly. Nosebleeds in children, usually occur in the age range of 2-10 years. Nosebleeds in babies are an uncommon occurrence and require in-depth examination by a specialist.

Among the causes of nosebleeds in children are:

Trauma/impact
Irritation of the inner lining of the nose
Upper respiratory tract infection
Foreign body in the nose
Allergy
The air is too warm and dry
Tumor

While some things you can do at home to stop nosebleeds are:

Stay calm.
Sit down the person who is experiencing the nosebleed, and lean slightly forward.
Position your head towards the front. The position of the head looking up will only make the blood flow to the throat.
Pinch the nose from both sides so that blood cannot seep out and keep pressing it for about 10 minutes. If necessary, you can calculate the time.
Remove all the blood in the mouth by spitting. Swallowing blood can cause vomiting.
If the blood has stopped, try not to sneeze, blow your nose or strain for 24 hours.
If the nosebleed continues after 20-30 minutes, immediately go to the hospital for further treatment.

Our advice is for you to pay attention to the risk factors that we have listed above, which ones are appropriate for your nephew's condition. If you are still confused, unsure, the risk factors are not listed above, or your nephew still has frequent nosebleeds, return to your ENT specialist immediately so that your nephew can get the right treatment. Hope you and your family are always healthy.

That's it, hope it helps.
