Causes Of Prolonged Pain In The Knee After Walking Long Distances?
I am 22yrs old, 2017 yrs had a shifting knee injury which was quite severe. I just got to normal activities in August 2018, a few weeks ago I went to the street office in a hurry because there was a road that was closed so I had to go to the previous bus stop which was approximately 2 km away, and I unknowingly walked very fast and climbed my hand hurriedly, 2 days later I felt my knee shifted again but after checking it didn’t move. It’s just that it feels excruciatingly painful, especially for walking. I asked if this happened because I walked quite a distance and climbed the stairs in a hurry? Then how do I reduce the pain?
Hello, Thank you for your question.
Do you have to see a doctor when you have a knee injury for examination and receive further treatment? Pain in the knee is generally caused by knee injuries, for example due to direct impact, injury during sports, pressure on the knee, sudden movement of the knee, incorrect position of the knee when moving, or repetitive / repetitive movements. The cause of your knee pain complaint may be due to sudden movements in the knee causing injury to the muscles, tendons, or ligaments in the knee area. In addition, knee pain may also be caused by other conditions such as inflammation of the joints (arthritis), tendonitis, inflammation of the joints (bursitis), or infection.
You can do a warm compress on the sore area for example by using a towel soaked in warm water, then put on the sore knee for 10-15 minutes, and can be repeated 4-6 times per day. If the knee pain gets worse, you can take pain relievers such as paracetamol. In the meantime, avoid excessive physical activity such as running or jumping. If the complaint does not improve, please consult your doctor immediately for further examination and treatment. The doctor will perform examinations on you and other examinations such as x-rays, ultrasound, or MRI. From this examination, the doctor will determine the next treatment for you.
Hope this helps.
