And in this one day you can’t eat anything. What exactly is it hurting ???
Good evening, thanks for the question
Rashes and thrush in children can be caused by conditions:
1. Hand foot mouth disease or Singapore flu
2. Herpes infection
3. Varicella infection or chicken pox
4. Insect bite reaction
5. Eczema allergy
Hand, foot, mouth disease (HFMD) is a common viral infection in infants and children. Infection usually involves the hands, feet, mouth and sometimes the genital area and buttocks. The most common cause is an infection of the coxakievirus strain.
HFMD is characterized by a fever that is not too high, decreased appetite, and weakness is called prodromal symptoms. Symptoms that then arise are pain in the mouth area due to enanthema or canker sores. Rashes on the skin in the form of nodules filled with fluid that is not itchy, and usually also not painful. Rashes can appear on the hands, around the mouth, legs, buttocks, arms, and lower legs.
HFMD will usually improve in 7-10 days. The main treatment is supportive medicine. Giving drugs that are not appropriate indications such as antibiotics in viral infections will actually be bad in the future. The former rash that has dried up is no longer infectious, but it does take time to disappear completely, which is for 3-4 weeks.
To prevent transmission, prevention is needed by:
- Wash your hands with soap and running water
- Make sure the environment is regularly cleaned
- Avoid sharing cutlery with individuals suspected of being infected with the HFMD virus.
That's all, hope you can help
