Causes Of Red And Sore Eyelids When Staring At Gadgets For Too Long?
I want to ask why the upper eyelid on my right eye is different from the left it looks like more creases on the right but usually it’s not like that then my right eye sometimes gets red and sore when I use gadgets for too long but my left eye doesn’t sting even though there is a little red. Please give an explanation and solution!, thank you
What you are experiencing can be caused by several possibilities such as:
Dry eye syndrome Tired eyes Eyelid infections Eye infections
Dry eye syndrome is a condition where the tear glands are disturbed, causing the eyes to become dry which can cause irritation, causing red and sore eyes. This can be exacerbated by the use of gadgets that are too long. Tired eye syndrome can also be a cause where the habit of using gadgets for too long will make the eyes focus for too long and lack of time to relax, causing them to get tired quickly. In addition, studies show that being in front of a screen (gadget, computer TV and others) >2 hours/day can increase the risk of disease. Infectious conditions in the eyelids can also be a trigger, which is usually accompanied by a lump on the eyelid. Eye infections can also cause red, sore and swollen eyes on the eyelids where this infection can be caused by viruses, bacteria and others.
What you can do in the meantime:
Avoid rubbing your eyes Reduce time playing gadgets Rest 6-8 hours/day Drink at least 2L of water/day Eat with balanced nutrition
If the complaint does not improve, it's a good idea to go to the doctor, especially to an ophthalmologist. Doctors need a detailed interview as well as an in-person examination. Without it, your condition cannot be determined. Therapy will be tailored to what you are experiencing.
I hope this helps.
