Causes Of The Appearance Of Red Bumps On The Child’s Body?
evening, I want to ask. This is my son has a red bump and the tip is white. when I hold the lump hard. Please help. thanks
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
It needs to be clarified beforehand, where exactly is the location of the lump? How big is the size? Does it hurt? Are there any other complaints that come with it?
Hard lumps, reddish in color, and white ends are generally caused by folliculitis or by the general public often referred to as boils. This condition arises due to infection of the hair roots, so it can appear on any part of the body where hair is growing. The main cause of this infection is Staphylococcus aureus, which is a bacterium that normally resides on the surface of the skin. So, how can these bacteria enter and infect hair roots? This can be caused by poor hygiene, having skin problems (eg eczema), or also due to a poor immune system (eg due to HIV/AIDS, diabetes, or undergoing chemotherapy to treat cancer).
Not only boils, lumps like your child's experience may also occur due to other causes, for example:
Acne (pilosebaceous gland infection by P. acne bacteria)
Miliaria deep (prickly heat, sweat gland infection)
Sebaceous cysts (benign fluid-filled sacs in the oil glands)
Warts (HPV infection)
Cutaneous candidiasis (fungal infection)
Tumors, and so on
Given the very limited information provided, it is difficult for us to determine the best treatment for your child's condition. So, you should immediately check with your child to the doctor. If it is true that the cause is ulcers, treatment can be done with topical, oral, or even surgery antibiotics.
In the meantime, just forcefully break the lumps that appear on your child's skin. Also tell your child not to touch it too often to avoid irritation. Diligently bathe your child 2 times a day and give him clean and dry clothes. Do not apply anything to lumps that appear unless advised by a doctor.
Hope it helps ya..
