Causes Of White Spots On Baby’s Face?
Afternoon, I want to ask what causes white spots on baby’s face and how to deal with it? Thank you
Baby skin is including sensitive skin. Some things that can cause white spots on a baby's face are:
Milia Fungal infection Vitiligo Leprosy
Milia are white spots that appear in babies that occur due to clogged skin pores and usually get better within 4 weeks of life. Fungal infections can cause skin changes in babies that are either lighter or darker. Vitiligo is a skin disorder where there is a lack of dye which causes the skin to become lighter. Leprosy is a skin disease caused by a bacterial infection that can cause skin discoloration and is quite dangerous because it can cause permanent disability.
If you are not sure what happened to your baby, it's a good idea to have your baby checked by a doctor. It takes history taking and also direct examination to distinguish what your baby is experiencing. Without it, the doctor can't know what's going on with your baby. Later if you really need therapy, the doctor will give it according to what your baby is experiencing.
I hope this helps.
