Hi, after the first test vdrl + tpha the second week and the results were negative. I continued my rash treatment using an ointment from a doctor. Because apparently not syphilis. Then I also still make sure the second test in the 4th week by screening tests starting from the gonorrhea, HIV and syphilis tests. The result is still the same, non-reactive or negative. But today I have 3 red rashes on my thigh, 3 itchy, itchy at night, but itchy. And today it really isn’t itchy. If not syphilis, what causes this red rash?

Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com

Red rashes on the skin can be caused by many possibilities, including:

Allergies, can be food allergies, drug allergies, or physical allergies (for example allergic heat, cold, pressure, sun, scratching, etc.) Dermatitis, can be due to contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis Infection of the skin, can be due to bacterial, fungal infections, viruses, or parasites (eg scabies) Insect bites or other small animals such as spiders or ticks Other skin diseases such as psoriasis Rashes due to common infections, such as rubella, measles, mononucleosis Rupture of blood vessels under the skin etc. Skin lesions do not have to be always caused by sexually transmitted infections, although it is true that diseases such as syphilis and HIV can provide symptoms of rashes on the skin. To be able to know more specifically the cause, you should explain in advance, since when you feel the symptoms, the location of itching, characteristics of itchy lesions, and the most important in diagnosing a lesion in the skin is to do a direct examination of the lesion. Therefore it is a good idea to check with your dermatologist so you can see firsthand the characteristics of the lesion.

For now, you should not scratch the rash on your skin even though it feels itchy. You can help reduce itching by compressing it with a cold / cool compress or using a cream / lotion that contains calamine. Because this time the rash appears on your thighs, you should avoid using pants that are too tight, look for the material of soft pants (do not use materials that are rough and scratch the skin) and absorb sweat.

So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
