Causes Small Lumps In The Breast Near The Armpits After Menstruation?
Hello .., I am 18 years old. 1 month ago I was menstruating but the symptoms that I usually felt before PMS like pain and swelling in the breast were not felt when I was PMS yesterday. After PMS is finished, I just realize that in my right breast there is like a small lump near the armpit. The midwife has checked it but now the medicine is gone and the lump is still there. My nipples just hurt today. From the neck to the waist I feel all ache. Guess “Why?
Hello Rikha, thank you for asking.
Before the menstrual period, there is a period of pre menstrual syndrome, known as PMS. Not everyone experiences PMS before menstruation. In people who have PMS, the symptoms can change. Some examples of symptoms experienced during PMS, for example:
Breasts somewhat enlarged.
Cramps or lower abdominal pain.
Low back pain.
Leucorrhoea or increase in cervical mucus.
At the time of menstruation, there are changes in reproductive hormone levels. Sometimes these hormonal changes cause breast lumps. Lumps in the breast can be nodules, cysts, dilation and thickening of the milk ducts, or inflammation of the breast tissue. Lumps sometimes disappear by themselves. Lumps in the breast can be benign or malignant.
Therefore, you should consult with a general surgeon to find out the status of the lump more clearly. The doctor may need to do an ultrasound and mammography to determine the type of lump. If you feel the need, the doctor will do a biopsy to assess the type of cell. The action will be adjusted to the findings of the doctor. If no malignancies are found, generally the doctor will only make observations.
Note whether there is a rapid increase in the size of the lump, there is significant pain, bleeding or pus from the nipple, and breast skin changes. If there is, then report the matter to the doctor.
Hopefully this answer is helpful. Regards.
