Causes Swelling And Pain In Both Legs?
hello, I’m 20 years old. it has been almost 2 months complaining about the lower limbs like they have been hit in several parts. Initially only swollen and painful right leg only, and even then the part near the ankle, starting from that part over time the lower left leg with the same location as that, and the longer beside the calf arises edema, hard, and pain too without any cause clear. not because of bumping or falling, edema in many parts of the lower limbs appear suddenly and more and more painful. the pain grew even more late at night and also in the morning I woke up, causing limited scope for my ankle joints. Why is my condition like this? Please answer. Thank you
Hello pspertiwi, Thank you for the question.
Have you checked with your doctor for further tests? In addition to complaints of swelling and leg pain, do you experience other complaints? Swelling on both feet can be caused by:
lack of protein (albumin)
impaired kidney function / kidney failure
deep vein thrombosis / deep vein thrombosis
To ascertain the cause of your complaint, please consult a specialist in internal medicine. The doctor will ask further questions about this complaint and carry out examinations on you including supporting examinations such as blood tests, urine tests, ultrasound, EKG, and others. From this examination the doctor will find out the cause and determine further treatment. You should not delay consulting with a doctor because these symptoms have been going on for 2 months.
Feel free to raise your swollen feet higher to help reduce the swelling. Put a pillow under your feet when you sleep so that your feet are more elevated. Move your ankles to help improve blood circulation.
Hopefully this information is useful.
