Causes Tear In The Gums After Waking Up?
Hello, I want to ask about torn gums. So when I wake up, like there is something odd in the gums and it turns out that my gums tear. Is my torn gum caused by wisdom teeth even though I don’t feel pain (it’s been more than a week)?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Tear gums often signify mechanical trauma to the gums, for example due to contact with food that is too hard, side effects of medical measures carried out around the gums, and so on. It could also, the gums become torn due to inflammation of the gums, tooth eruption, gum abscess that triggers the formation of fistulas, cavities that leave the roots, benign or malignant tumors in the oral cavity (eg broken mucocele), and various other reasons.
Even though it doesn't hurt, we suggest that you don't let complaints on your gums drag on. It is feared that the area of the gum that is torn can become an entry point for harmful microorganisms that trigger infections that are difficult to cure. Go directly to the nearest dentist to evaluate the possible causes, as well as the best treatment that needs to be done to overcome them.
In the meantime, you should first do the following steps:
Do not pry into torn gums. Don't consume foods that are too hard, too hot, or too cold. Be more diligent in brushing your teeth so that your teeth and mouth are clean. Gargle with salt solution so the inflammation in the gums subsides. Not carelessly consume drugs without doctor's advice. ..
