Cellphone Radiation Effects For Babies?
Good afternoon doctor, r n r nI want to ask, is the effect of smartphone radiation on babies ??, what can I do if the smartphone is too close to the baby ??, how safe is the smartphone when there is a baby ?? r nSo some say that smartphone radiation is dangerous, others say no. Please explain doctor! R n r nThank you
Smartphones emit radiation called Microwave Radiation (MWR). MWR is carcinogenic (can trigger cancer). Children are at higher risk of being adversely affected by the smartphone's radiation. Children's bodies more easily absorb radiation twice as much as adult bodies. The baby's brain is protected by a skull which is thinner in size than that of an adult, so radiation can penetrate more easily. Baby's body size is also smaller so that the radiation impact on them is greater. A study showed an increase in the number of patients with brain tumors (glioblastoma) in children who have a history of exposure to MWR since childhood. Exposure time is about> 30 years until the onset of symptoms of the brain tumor.
To reduce the adverse effects of smartphones on babies, the following things can be done:
Keep a safe distance of at least 20 cm from the smartphone to the child's body
Do not place the smartphone under a child's pillow or on a child's bed
As much as possible use a smartphone when the signal is strong. A weak signal will make the smartphone emit more radiation.
The adverse effects of smartphone radiation do not instantly appear in children. However, high and continuous exposure can cause bad effects later in life. In some smartphones in the safety section there is a special information that determines the minimum distance of a smartphone to a safe body. But for babies, smartphone usage should be avoided.
Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
