Cervical Cancer Vaccine?
Hi, I want to get a cervical cancer vaccine. What is the best type for Gardasil 9? Where can I get the vaccine, do I have to go to a gynecologist or a general practitioner, how many times do I have to be vaccinated and what is the estimated price? thank you
Hello, thank you for the question.
Cervical cancer vaccine is an effort to prevent Cervical Cancer which is caused by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) infection, which is mostly transmitted through sexual contact.
The cervical cancer vaccine is currently recommended for women aged 10 years and over and in men, especially for men aged 26 years and under. For the gift, actually this depends on your current age. At the age of 10-13 years, the vaccine is usually sufficient in 2 doses, while for women aged 16-18 years, it is usually given in 3 doses. Each administration is 1-6 months apart from each injection period.
You can get this vaccine at the nearest health center or clinic, or also at the hospital. Beforehand, you should first confirm whether the vaccine is available or not at the health facility.
I recommend doing this vaccination immediately, especially if you are sexually active or are / will be married, and if you have an allergic reaction at the time of administering any vaccine or drug, you should inform your doctor before getting this vaccine. More about this vaccination can be read in the following articles:
This is the Importance of Cervical Cancer Vaccines
I hope this helps.
