Changes In Skin Color After The Scar Peeled Off?

I want to ask why every time I get a wound, the scars become like stripes.. the skin peels off like that, I keep washing my clothes because of friction so it peels.. Please advise, is it normal or a disease?

Hello,
Thank you for the question. After a person experiences a wound on the surface of the skin and then heals in general it will leave a scar in the form of blackened skin (hyperpigmentation). The presence of wounds on the surface of the skin causes skin pigment cells to produce more melanin so that the color of the healed skin will turn black. This condition is usually more noticeable in people with darker skin tones and these scars can darken when exposed to the sun's ultraviolet rays. This condition is a normal condition. To treat darkened scars, you can try skin care products that contain kojic acid, vitamin C, arbutin, niacinamide, or glycolic acid. In addition, you are also advised to use sunscreen if you are active outdoors.
Peeling skin on the hands is generally caused by contact dermatitis. Contact dermatitis is inflammation of the skin caused by exposure to a certain thing. Contact dermatitis is divided into two, namely:
allergic contact dermatitis, which can be caused by cosmetics. creams, ointments, perfumes, irritant contact dermatitis, which can be caused by exposure to soaps, detergents, clothes bleaches. Usually in addition to peeling skin, you may also experience irritated skin, cracked skin, dry skin, itching, burning, thickened skin , and swelling. The main treatment for contact dermatitis is to avoid exposure to the trigger, in your case avoiding exposure to laundry detergent. You are also advised to consult a doctor for further examination. From this examination, the doctor will determine the severity of your condition and determine the next treatment. The doctor may give you anti-inflammatory drugs which can be topical or oral medications and antihistamines if you feel itchy.
You can also do the following suggestions:
use gloves to avoid exposure to detergent on your hands if you must wash clothes use a safe skin moisturizer to keep the skin from drying out avoid scratching the itchy areas Please read the following article: Contact dermatitis
