Chapter Still Feels Pain After Hemorrhoids Surgery?
Hello doctor. My husband has had hemorrhoid surgery now, it’s been 7 days, but he hasn’t been able to defecate, actually he wants to defecate, but when the blood comes out, my husband feels pain, finally he loses his heartburn without getting out first. So how is there a way for my husband to defecate but it doesn’t hurt? Or is there another way so that my husband can smoothly CHAPTER Thanks
Hello Ukhfi, thank you for the question.
In general, after performing hemorrhoid surgery, there are several conditions that can accompany and can last for several days to several weeks after surgery, such as:
Slight postoperative bleeding. If more and more frequent bleeding is found, it is advisable to check back to the doctor.
Changes in bowel movements so that in some people will produce a feeling like you want to defecate, even though there is no impurities in the intestine or cause difficulty BAB (constipation / constipation)
Pain in the former operation
Reading your complaints, you should check your husband again for control to the doctor who performed surgery on you, to be reassessed, whether there is a problem or not with bowel movements and postoperative injuries. If deemed necessary, your doctor may increase the dose of painkillers and provide a softening of stool to help reduce complaints.
In the meantime, to help overcome it, it is recommended to:
Eat foods high in fiber (vegetables, fruits, whole grains) to help make stools softer and easier to remove
Drinking enough water to help also make the stool softer
Take medications that are given according to doctor's instructions to help reduce pain
Soaking your buttocks in warm water several times a day to help reduce pain
I hope this helps.
