Hello, thanks for the question.
Covid 19 virus is a new type of virus that has never been identified in humans. This virus generally attacks the respiratory system and can cause symptoms of fever, cough, runny nose, painful swallowing, and other symptoms similar to the common cold to cause severe symptoms such as shortness of breath, acute respiratory syndrome, respiratory failure, sepsis, until death. This virus can attack children and adults and generally the symptoms experienced are the same. This virus has an incubation period of 5-6 days to a maximum of 14 days and is transmitted through droplets such as coughing / sneezing and not transmitted through the air. For patients suspected of being infected with Covid19 there are 4 definitions that must be understood, namely:
People under surveillance (suspect), namely people with acute respiratory infections (ARI), namely fever (≥38oC) or a history of fever; accompanied by one of the symptoms / signs of respiratory disease such as: cough / shortness of breath / sore throat / runny nose / pneumonia mild to severe and no other causes and in the last 14 days before the symptoms appear have a history of travel or living in the country / local transmission area. OR people with fever (≥380C) or a history of fever or ARI AND in the last 14 days before symptoms develop have a history of contact with confirmed cases of COVID-19. OR people with severe ARI / pneumonia who need hospital treatment and no other cause.
Patients under surveillance (suspect), ie people who have a fever (≥380C) or a history of fever; or symptoms of respiratory system disorders such as runny nose / sore throat / cough AND
no other cause is based on a convincing clinical picture AND in the last 14 days before the onset of symptoms has a history of travel or living in the country / region reporting local transmission. OR people who experience symptoms of respiratory system disorders such as colds / sore throat / cough AND in the last 14 days before they arise
symptoms have a history of contact with COVID-19 confirmation cases.
People without symptoms (OTG) are those who are asymptomatic but who are in close contact with COVID-19 confirmation cases
Confirmed cases, namely patients infected with COVID-19 with positive test results through a PCR examination.
This disease can affect anyone, both adults and children, therefore it is highly recommended to stay at home, not make contact with others, especially in the crowd, do not travel outside the city, and still make a healthy lifestyle, such as eating nutritious food , wash your hands with soap, exercise regularly, get enough rest, and avoid activities that can increase the spread of the corona virus. If your child or family has risk factors such as young age, old age, and have a weak immune system and there is contact with people who are confirmed COVID-19 or have a history of traveling to a local transmission area, you should immediately conduct an independent quarantine and report to nearest health center.
so, hopefully it helps.
