Chest And Lower Thoracic Pain?
I started to have pain in the right side of the thorax and it would spread to the chest then I would have pain in the lower right side of the thorax followed by chest pain
What do you mean by thorax?
The thorax is the area of the body that extends from the neck to the diaphragm and is bounded by the sternum, ribs, and vertebrae. If you experience pain in the thoracic or chest area then this condition can basically be caused by various possible causes such as:
Muscle strain or muscle injury Inflammation of rib cartilage Digestive disorders (gastric acid disease, gallstones, pancreatitis) Lung problems (pleural effusion, pulmonary embolism) Heart disorders
If the complaint persists then you should consult an internal medicine specialist (internist) for further examination. Through a physical examination and supporting tests if needed (such as X-Ray, blood tests, EKG, or CT Scan) the doctor will be able to trace the source of the cause further. Thus, appropriate treatment can be given to you according to the underlying cause.
Here are suggestions for you:
Set adequate rest time Reduce strenuous activities Limit activities that use the strength of the chest muscles (pulling, pushing, lifting weights) Eat regularly, don't eat late Avoid eating spicy, fatty, acidic or gas-producing foods Avoid alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine Manage stress wisely
