Children Aged 16 Months Have Not Received Measles Immunization?
My 16 month old baby has not received measles immunization, even though 15 months old it is recommended for the 4th HIP immunization .. what is the right time ?? Can my child still get measles immunization now and tomorrow at 17 months of the 4th HIB immunization?
Hello Desi, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Is the measles immunization that you mean that your child has not received is measles immunization which should be given at 9 months of age or rubella measles immunization (MR) which should be given at 15 months of age (if at 9 months the measles immunization has been received) or at 12 months of age ( if you haven't been immunized against measles at 9 months)?
Hib 4 immunization can basically be done between the ages of 15-18 months. These vaccines can be given together or separately without the need for a certain time interval with MR immunization. Therefore, you should immediately carry out MR immunization for your child and you can give Hib 4 immunization together with MR immunization. Take your child to the puskesmas or posyandu or it could be a pediatrician to immunize your child. Make sure you bring your child's immunization record (child health card) so that health workers who want to immunize can see the child's previous immunization history.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
