Hello Rahma. Thank you for asking the HealthReplies.com team.
We really understand how you feel as a parent who is worried about defecating every night. The term the discharge of bowel movements at an inappropriate time either day or night is called encoparesis. The cause of encoparesis is divided into two:
Organic encoparesis. It is not appropriate for a child to pass stool due to a problem in the defecation-holding muscle (sphincter ani). Examples such as epilepsy, abnormalities in the structure of the digestive tract, disorders of the nerve barrier of the muscle.
Non-organic encoparesis. The occurrence of encoparesis is not caused by factors in the digestive tract, but due to other reasons, namely: a child's lack of understanding of toilet training or the child does not respond to toilet training exercises taught by their parents, or it could be due to psychological reasons, namely trauma to something causing your child to lose control in bowel movements
To ascertain whether the underlying cause of your child's bowel movements, you should consult a pediatrician, to check for digestive tract disorders in your child. The examination that is done is to check directly on the little body for any abnormalities or not, or you can also use additional examinations such as ultrasound or X-ray images to check for any abnormalities that cannot be found with a normal physical examination. If the examination by a pediatrician does not reveal a problem, it is possible that your child will be referred to a psychiatric doctor to be assessed for the causes of behavior that are different from those of his age. Which then can be done behavior therapy. Or also added with certain drugs.
So much from me, may be useful. Thank you
