Choose The Size Of The Eyeglasses Lens For Nearsighted Eyes?
I am minus and I want to try wearing a lens. When I checked yesterday I minus 250 left and right 200 while minus the old left 175 and right 150 were in the form of glasses. So I want to buy a lens that is minus 175 for right and left, is that OK?
Hello Chacaa ... Thank you for the question.
Nearsightedness or in medical language is called a myopia is a condition where the patient cannot clearly see objects that are located far away, while for objects that are close then it can be seen clearly. This can occur due to heredity or due to environmental factors. In patients with myopia, the incoming light will be focused in front of the retina. In patients with myopia can be treated with the use of negative lenses. To find out the appropriate size of the negative lens, visual measurements can also be done and also an examination using a Snellen diagram by an eye doctor. From this examination it can be seen the size of the negative lens that is suitable for you.
It is better to use eyeglass lenses in accordance with the results of the examination. If you use a lens that is not suitable then it can cause dizziness and tired eyes because the eyes have to do more accommodations so that you can see clearly. with poor lighting.
