Chubby Cheeks Thin Body?
I want to ask, my body is small, but why are my cheeks chubby, is this an abnormality? If you are chubby, usually the people are fat, even though I’m thin
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Each individual gets a gene (genotype) from both biological parents, and therefore each person has different physical variations. Likewise, the structure of the face (the shape and color of the eyes, nose, cheeks, lips, skin color, etc.) each person will resemble many parents or grandparents respectively.
In some people, despite having a small and thin body, but may have a cheek structure that is fuller (chubby). This is normal and you don't need to feel inferior for your uniqueness.
However, on the other hand there are also several conditions or diseases that can cause symptoms of swelling of the cheeks, such as allergic reactions, side effects of corticosteroid drugs, and cushing syndrome. This occurs due to increased storage (deposit) of fat cells in the cheeks. You can suspect these things if the condition has just arisen (not since you were a child or from birth), for example after you have consumed something, or if you are currently in the process of treatment, etc. If you feel your cheek swelling is abnormal or in doubt, consult a general practitioner so that a more complete examination can be done for your condition. You can read more about cushing syndrome at this link.
Thus my information, hopefully can help.
