Cloudy Brown Discharge Sometimes Accompanied By Blood?
Yesterday, I had a cloudy brown vaginal discharge and spotting with fresh blood. I thought I was menstruating yesterday because my menstrual cycle fell in these weeks but after that there was no more blood. Just now I checked again but there was only a little blood. Does it include menstruation / a very serious illness?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Stained blood along with vaginal discharge that occurs in your menstrual schedule can be part of a normal period. Often times, menstrual blood does not immediately come out profusely, but first in small amounts. A lot of activity, extreme sports, wrong diet, psychological stress, and various other factors can also contribute to this.
Normally, the blood that comes out during menstruation is not less than 30 ml per cycle. If during this menstruation you bleed very little, then apart from the factors above, this condition could also be caused by:
Pregnancy spots (bleeding that results from tearing of blood vessels when the fertilization implants itself in the uterine wall) Ovarian cysts (fluid-filled sacs that appear in the ovaries due to impaired egg maturation) Thyroid gland disorders, for example hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism disorders of the pituitary gland, for example tumors Side effects of drugs or contraceptives, etc. If your complaints have only been taking place only this occasionally, without any other complaints, such as bad-smelling vaginal discharge, intense itching in the genitals, severe abdominal pain, etc., chances are your condition is not dangerous. However, there is nothing wrong with seeing your doctor directly to be sure.
In the meantime, here are the steps you should take to make menstruation smoother:
Control your weight, don't be too fat, but also don't be too thin. Eat a balanced nutritious diet. Avoid stress, panic, or excessive anxiety. Get plenty of exercise. Only practice safe and responsible sexual intercourse. Hope it helps.
