Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com

Basically, the main symptoms of corona virus infection or COVID-19 disease are fever and dry cough. Sometimes symptoms of shortness of breath can also be found, especially in older people and people who have comorbidities. In some people COVID-19 does not give any symptoms (asymptomatic) or only gives mild symptoms (such as an ordinary viral infection). It is therefore difficult to distinguish whether the symptoms you are experiencing are caused by COVID-19 or by an ordinary viral infection. To find out indeed COVID-19 examination must be done.

However, because the number of examinations is still very limited, the examination will only be given to people who are indeed at risk (have a clear exposure) and also people who show typical symptoms (fever, dry cough, shortness of breath). For people who have symptoms of a mild respiratory tract infection like you currently have, you will only be advised to isolate yourself in your home. This isolation is recommended to be carried out to prevent transmission to people around you if indeed you are infected with corona virus and not detected (because not checked).

The following are some of the things you need to do during self-isolation at home:

Make sure you only stay at home and not leave the house if you are not really forced (for the sake of seeing a doctor)
If you are forced to leave the house, do not go to crowded places and do not use public transportation
If you live with someone else, you should stay in a separate room (you should only be in a room alone), if possible, use a separate bathroom as well
Use a mask at all times, except when you are alone in your room
Avoid eating from the same plate as your housemates and don't use cutlery together
Wash your hands with soap as often as possible, suggest people in your household to do the same
Disinfect items in your home as often as possible, especially items that you touch
Maintain your body's health and endurance by getting enough sleep and rest, eating and drinking enough, exercising enough, and not smoking

Perform monitoring of symptoms at any time, if you experience a fever and shortness of breath also accompanies your cough, immediately call 119 ext 9 to find out further examination flow.

I hope that I have enough information to answer
