Complementary Feeding For Babies Aged 3 Months?
Hello, I want to ask, my son is 3 months old but he wants to be fed and watered. Even breast milk is sometimes fussy but I feel anxious to even feed it with Cerelac..
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Previously, you need to know that the World Health Organization (WHO) has provided a stipulation that all infants up to 6 months of age do not require any other intake other than breast milk. Exclusive breastfeeding is considered sufficient for the growth and development of children and will actually have a better impact than being given formula milk or other foods in that age range. After 6 months, even if only given breast milk without other complementary foods, the child will get less nutrition.
So, because of course your baby can't speak yet to convey that he wants to eat and drink other than breast milk, what you interpret or assume as a desire is likely something else. Our advice, so that you are also not anxious and confused, consult your problem with your pediatrician. Your pediatrician will probably look at how your baby is latching on while feeding which may be the reason why your baby feels he is not eating enough, or there are nutritional problems and so on. I hope you and your family are always healthy.
So, hopefully useful.
