Consumption Of Betel Leaf Boiled Water In Nursing Mothers?

Good evening, thanks for the question
Betel leaf is believed to have several benefits such as anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant, but the benefits are clearly not scientifically proven.
From several studies stated that the habit of chewing betel leaf is associated with the incidence of cancer in the mouth and esophagus significantly, causing fibrosis in the oral mucosa and cause staining in the teeth and gums if consumed regularly.
WHO has classified the betel leaf plant as a carcinogenic or cancer-triggering agent and recommends starting to reduce the consumption of betel leaf.
It is not impossible if the mother who consumes betel can transmit carcinogenic substances to her baby through breast milk, so reconsider if you want to consume betel leaves or consult with your doctor first in order to obtain adequate information.
That's all, hope you can help
