Consumption Of Vitamin E For Oily Skin?
Good morning, I’m 22 years old. I want to ask, can oily skin not consume / use skin care that contains vitamin E? Thank you, doctor
Hello Tity, Thank you for the question.
Understanding the type of skin is one of the first steps you must take before you choose a skin care product that you will use. For oily skin, you cannot use the same product as normal skin or dry skin. In general, you are advised to choose products that are not oil-based (oil free). In choosing facial cleansing soap, choose soft soap and wipe gently on the face. Don't clean your face too often because this doesn't make you oil-free. If you still have excess oil, you can choose soap with salycylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA), or benzoyl peroxide. For moisturizing and cosmetic products, you are also advised to choose products that are water-based. There is no prohibition on using products that contain vitamin E for oily skin. Do not forget to also use sunscreen to protect your skin from the adverse effects of sun exposure.
Do not hesitate to consult further with a dermatologist if this oily skin complaint is enough to bother you.
I hope this helps.
