Consumption Of Vitamins Pregnant Together With Allergic Drugs?
I am 4 months pregnant and am taking calcium enhancer (calnic) and blood booster vitamins. But I have an allergy and am allowed to take antihistamine (cetirizine). I was required to take vitamins not together plus 2 cups of milk. Well, can I take my antihistamine medication along with calcium-enhancing vitamins / blood enhancers given? Thank you
Hello Regina Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com
Antihistamines are drugs that are used to reduce symptoms caused by allergic reactions. Antihistamines are a class of drugs consisting of several types, and types of antihistamines have different ways of working. Some antihistamines have interactions with other drugs such as antifungal drugs such as ketoconazole, antibiotics such as erythomycin, antidepressant drugs, blood-thinning drugs, and some anti-hypertensive drugs. But unfortunately you do not mention the type of antihistamine that you consume, because the type of antihistamine has different interactions.

As for calcium, drug interactions can occur in people who are taking heart medications, diabetes medications, epilepsy drugs. These drugs are recommended not to be taken with calcium supplements.

Consumption of calcium and antihistamines together until now there has been no specific interaction. However you should take calcium supplements one to 2 hours before or after taking other drugs. Or if you are worried you can consult your doctor again.
