Continue Treatment With Cream After Recovering From Chicken Pox?
hello, chicken pox on my face has all dried up, and become black scabs. May I continue my skincare routine like using toner, moisturizer, and exfoliator ??? thanks
Chicken pox or in medical terms referred to as varicella is a skin infection caused by the Varicella zoster virus. This virus causes sufferers to experience a fever, it grows weak, followed by the appearance of a red rash on almost the entire body which then turns into small bumps filled with water (also called vesicles). This vesicle will then break and dry until it will finally heal completely.
Ulceration or scarring is the body's natural mechanism in protecting the skin layers to prevent severe infections. Ulceration on the facial area should be left first to peel naturally and then be exposed to facial care products such as toner, moisturizer and exfoliator. For now, all you can do is keep your face clean, wash your face using soft soap, avoid rubbing too hard or peeling it with your hands or using a scrub.
What if the scab on the face has peeled off on its own, you can start using facial care products such as moisturizers and toners that do not contain exfoliator ingredients such as AHA and BHA. And should delay the use of scrubs or other treatment products that are eroded or remove cells in the skin layer. This will trigger inflammation in the layers of your skin.
I hope this is useful,
