, in the past half year hmpr I had 2x curette biopsies, because of the thickening of the uterine wall so that my HB was low until the transfusion too, the PA results from the biopsy said I had endometrial hyperplasia, in the second biopsy I also put in an IUD to help with my hormonal support, Which is my question, since the second curette biopsy, until today (already 1 month) I still have brown spots, sometimes they are just a little or a speck, but it’s not uncommon for a lot of spots like people to menstruate, sometimes they even bleed out of the way. a lot and not continuing, is it safe? and what should I do. Thank you

Hello Sekar,

Endometrial hyperplasia or thickening of the uterine wall is one of the most common causes of menstrual disorders. This condition is often experienced by women who have experienced menopause or approaching menopause, but can also occur in women of reproductive age who consume drugs containing the hormone estrogen or its derivatives, obese women, experience disorders of the reproductive system such as PCOS or infertility.

The most common symptoms are bleeding outside the menstrual cycle, longer menstrual periods or more menstrual bleeding, and shorter menstrual cycles (less than 21 days).

Treatment of endometrial hyperplasia starts from administering drugs containing progestin hormones, insertion of IUDs containing progestin hormones and curettage. The choice of therapy and duration depends on the patient's age and the type of hyperplasia.

if you have undergone treatment but you still complain about your period, it may take you longer to fully recover. Normal or not the condition that you are experiencing until now you can discuss with the obstetrician who treats you.

In addition to routine control and undergoing treatment recommended by your doctor, you can do the following to treat complaints of endometrial hyperplasia:

if you are overweight or obese, control your body weight to achieve the ideal avoid smoking or exposure to secondhand smoke if you have a history of diabetes mellitus or diabetes, control your blood sugar levels, regular exercise 2-3 times per week hopefully answer enough
