Continuous Diarrhea After Excessive Consumption Of Spicy Food?
, it’s been a week that I have had diarrhea that doesn’t go away .. even though I have taken diarrhea medicine every time I have a bowel movement. Indeed, a week ago I ate a lot of spicy food but this is the first time I have diarrhea constantly because of spicy food, usually only 1-2 days of diarrhea. Usually I go straight to the bathroom after a heavy meal. Sometimes the diarrhea only occurs at night. My stomach feels bloated and I want to pass wind. Sometimes there is also a feeling of cramps in the stomach and like there is a rumbling in the stomach like a person who is hungry but has difficulty passing wind. Is this diarrhea caused by bacteria, food factors or stress factors? R nPlease ask for a solution. thank you
Hello! Thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Foods that are too spicy can irritate the intestines and trigger diarrhea. However, in your case, the diarrhea you are experiencing may not only be due to the spicy food you eat. Your diarrhea may be the result of an infection from germs in less clean food or because you have certain diseases. We recommend that you immediately see a doctor for examination. The doctor will examine you and provide therapy according to the results of the examination. Stomach cramps, bloating, and wanting to pass gas may be part of your diarrhea or a side effect of the diarrhea medicine you are taking. We recommend that you bring diarrhea medicine that you take when you visit the doctor. Keep drinking to avoid dehydration. Drink water or coconut water, even better if you have ORS at home. Avoid drinking tea or coffee. Try to eat as usual, preferably in small amounts but often. If you have blood or black color like tar in your stool or you become even more limp, come immediately to the nearest hospital emergency room.
So much information from me. Hopefully can help.
