Cough And Itchy Throat During Pregnancy Are The Symptoms Of Corona?
Hello doc, I am a pregnant woman for 13 weeks, every night I am sleeping, my throat is itchy and coughing, but I don’t have a cold nor a fever. I should see a doctor or see how the doc thank you.
Thank you for the question.
Itchy throat and cough in pregnant women often do not refer to serious illness. As for some of the conditions that often cause complaints like this are dry throat, allergies (including due to cold or certain foods), excessive vocal cord stretching, gastric acid reflux, viral or bacterial infections, foreign body aspiration, the influence of drugs, and so on. As long as it does not appear crowded, fever more than 3 days, vomiting, or other complaints that are more severe, you should not be rushed to check. In the midst of the current outbreak of COVID-19, traveling outside the home except for urgent reasons seems to be far more dangerous for you and your fetus in your womb.
Try to resolve your complaint first by:
Limit excessive screaming
Use a mask
Don't eat and drink cold and oily ones first
Drink plenty of warm water and eat fruits rich in vitamin C
Improve your personal hygiene and the environment around you
After eating, don't lie down right away
Do not contact with substances that make you allergic
Stay away from cigarettes and smoke
Don't take medicine carelessly
You can check with your doctor or obstetrician if the complaint does not improve at all with the steps above, or if there are signs of danger as we have mentioned before. You should do this check immediately, especially if you are at risk of contracting COVID-19 (such as if you frequently travel outside the home especially to the COVID-19 outbreak area, if you have been in contact with sufferers of COVID-19 itself or people who have traveled to the area COVID-19 plague).
Hope this helps ...
