Good evening, thanks for the question
Coughing in infants can be caused by conditions such as:
2. Sore throat
5. Pulmonary TB
Most minor cold coughs are harmless and are caused by a viral infection so symptoms can subside spontaneously without special treatment. However, parents must remain vigilant by knowing the danger signs when a child coughs which is a sign of a more serious condition, including:
1. Shortness of breath
2. There is breathing in the chest muscles and breathing
3. Cough more than 3 weeks
4. Child looks very weak
5. Do not want to eat and drink
6. Can not sleep
8. Child is not active as usual
Do not give free cold cough medicine to children under 2 years because of its unclear effectiveness and the risk of causing side effects in children. Parents simply do the following at home:
1. Give more breast milk (ASI) or warm water.
2. Increase your time to rest and sleep.
3. Give a fever reliever.
4. Carefully breathe the steam from warm water to relieve the airway.
If the complaint does not subside you should consult with a doctor to get a direct examination. Treatment will be based on symptoms and physical examination results in children.
That's all, hope you can help
