Cough Never Cured

Good evening doctor. 3 weeks ago I was treated for a cough (initially not phlegm dry cough) and then phlegm. The first week, my cough at night became more intense. After 2 weeks, my cough did not heal well (was given antibiotics by the doctor Klink) 2 days ago, my phlegm cough was cured Doc. It’s just that, my throat is like something is blocking it so I keep feeling coughing (clearing my throat) and this is very annoying. This feeling of wanting to cough will disappear temporarily if I don’t eat. That’s why Doc? For information, I have a history of lung spots. Please help answer yes Doc. Thank you very much. May you all be healthy always.

Hello Christin, thank you very much for asking HealthReplies.com.
Let me introduce myself, Dr. Rio will answer your question.
Coughing is the body's attempt to expel substances or particles from the respiratory tract. In complaints of old cough that you feel can occur due to several conditions, namely:
Allergy / hypersensitivity can trigger mucus / mucus in the throat causing coughing.
Regarding the history of spots you mentioned. This has several meanings in society such as pulmonary TB, pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma, etc. often called spots. But my guess is that you have had pulmonary TB before until now if you have had a long cough, it is possible that TB has relapsed on you.
To be sure, since you have already been treated by a general practitioner and are not cured you can ask to be referred to a pulmonary specialist for further treatment. Or you can ask to check phlegm at the nearest health center. Right now what you can do is:
Use a mask, and avoid first contact with home people.
Get enough rest, and sleep 7-8 hours per day.
Look for things that trigger a cough, because there is still the possibility of allergies, or hypersensitivity.
Avoid eating oily foods, and with toxins.
Drink with warm water.
That's all the answers I can give, thank you very much :)
