Cough While Sleeping, And Shortness Of Breath As If Pressed
Tonight doc, I want to ask why yes when I go to sleep I love to cough, and it feels very itchy in my throat, but after morning or wake up, I don’t cough once, and one lg in my chest often hurts, such as being pressed and very heavy doc, do you want to lie down and sleep, my heart feels beating fast and it’s a bit hard to breathe, that’s what’s the cause, is it because I’m too fat, or often taking birth control drugs for the past 5 years, thanks doc.
Thank you for the question.
Coughing, itching in the throat, chest pain as if pressed, palpitations, and shortness of breath that you feel, when referring to your description, most likely arise due to some of the following conditions:
Heart disorders, such as heart attacks, valve abnormalities or heart rhythms, weak heart, heart failure
Gastrointestinal disorders, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastritis, peptic ulcers, food allergies
Airway disorders, such as bronchitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, pneumonia, pleural effusion, asthma, lung cancer - some of these conditions can be related to COVID-19 which is currently endemic.
Other factors, such as psychological disorders, disorders of acid-base balance, allergic substances, obesity, and so on
Just take birth control pills, as long as you do as directed by your doctor and do not make you allergic, should not cause complaints such as you have experienced lately.
To improve, we recommend that you do it first:
Make sure your bedroom is always clean and free of dust
Avoid using cotton bedding
Do not always consume foods and drinks that are cold, artificial sweet, gassed, and oily
Drink more warm water and eat fruits more diligently
Warm compresses on the throat and chest that are uncomfortable
Wear a mask while still coughing and feeling uncomfortable in the throat
Don't exchange eating utensils, drinks, and any personal items with others
Maintain social distance, only leave the house when urgent
Stay away from cigarettes and smoke
Do not contact with things that make you allergic
Discipline exercise, maintain ideal body weight, do not stress, and regularly rest so that the body is more immune to disease
Not just taking any medication without the advice of a doctor
Conversely, if the complaint does not improve or instead it is fixed with a high fever for more than 3 days, severe tightness, massive vomiting, and other severe complaints, do not hesitate to go to a doctor or an internist. In this way, your doctor can conduct a comprehensive examination (such as by heart record, x-ray, ultrasound, or endoscopy), so that your condition can be handled better.
Hope this helps ...
