Cough With Phlegm With Liquid Bowel Movements And Nausea?
Good afternoon, I’m a 16 year old male, initially on Monday I had a severe flu after 1 day and suddenly coughed up phlegm until Wednesday and at night my stomach was very sick and had diarrhea. The stomach pain is so different that I can’t sleep and until now it still hurts plus nausea. What do you think all the symptoms are?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Flu and cough in most cases indicate allergies or infections of the respiratory tract. However, if this complaint is accompanied by abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea, then there is a possibility that your complaint is also caused by a disorder in other organ systems, but has prodromal symptoms resembling the flu. Some of the possibilities are:
Typhoid fever (typhoid, Salmonella typhi infection) Hepatitis (infection of the liver parenchyma by the Hepatitis virus) Appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) Gastroenteritis (infection of the gastrointestinal tract) Food poisoning Food malabsorption Obstructive ileus (intestinal obstruction), etc. Possible, abdominal pain, nausea , and the diarrhea that you are currently experiencing is caused by the side effects of the drug (for example, if you have taken over-the-counter medicines to treat your previous cough and cold) that cause gastrointestinal irritation.
Considering that the abdominal pain that appears is so severe that it causes you to have trouble sleeping, we recommend that you see a doctor immediately. A physical examination, or also support, such as x-rays, ultrasound, or blood tests may be done by the doctor so that the diagnosis can be made correctly.
In the meantime, you can take the following steps:
Rest more Elevate your legs when sleeping, for example by propping up a higher pillow Apply warming oil on a painful stomach Eat small portions but often Don't eat spicy, coconut milk, oily foods Reduce caffeine No snacking If you still have a cold, stay away from yourself from overexposure to cold, dust, and other pollutants Drink plenty of warm water Don't smoke Hope this helps..
